Both! We want you to feel comfortable and as relaxed as possible! If that means you stay in your home, we are happy to talk to you there. The live video therapy sessions are offered to anyone in the state of Texas, allowing accessibility and convenience when it’s hard to get into the office. Anchor Counseling uses a secure HIPAA platform (Simple Practice) to conduct these video sessions
Anchor Counseling focuses on adolescents ages 10-18, adults and families. We offer individual counseling to adults, families and couples depending on needs and availability.
Your first session will be a chance for your counselor to get to know you and for you to express what issues or challenges you are facing. You will be able to experience a counseling session and what it is like working with your counselor. You will also learn more about the counseling process going forward. Counseling sessions typically last for 50 minutes and will be based on your needs and availability.
Sara & Mallory are an out-of-network provider and do not directly bill or accept insurance for treatment. There are many benefits to private pay (even if you have insurance) in the counseling process including:
We’ve found that some insurance companies will cover our services as an out-of-network provider but it is your responsibility to check with your insurance provider. If you have a PPO, we can provide a “super bill” that you could submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. A super bill is a detailed record of payment with special codes for what kind of service were provided along with our license numbers. We recommend calling your insurance to find out what reimbursement will look like for an out-of-network provider. We also accept FSA or HSA payments and can provide an invoice for our services.
Lauren accepts the following insurances: BCBS, United Healthcare, Aetna, Cigna, Oxford and Oscar.
How much do counseling sessions cost? Payment will be due in full at the end of your counseling session. We accept cash, check, or a major credit card. The credit card you place on file to secure your initial appointment will be charged through our scheduling system. Individual counseling appointment fees with Sara Reeves are $125 for a 50 minute session. Individual counseling appointments for Mallory Peterman are $125 for a 50 minute session.
You can cancel or reschedule a counseling appointment, via the client portal, as long as you provide 24 hours notice. If you cancel an appointment with less than 24 hours notice, or fail to show up, you will be charged for the appointment. If you have questions about our cancellation policy you can discuss them with your counselor during your first appointment.
