Mallory Peterman
Hi! My name is Mallory Peterman and I am so excited to welcome you here!
I found my love and passion for school-aged children and adolescents while working 16+ years in education as a school counselor. I feel my role is to be the ultimate child advocate, helping and healing in a safe environment free from judgment.
I was born and raised in the Fort Worth area and have never left! I graduated in 2005 with my undergraduate degree from TCU and my master’s degree in Counseling from Tarleton State University.
I specialize working with any school-age children and teens by understanding first hand what it is like growing up in schools in this day and age. Depression, anxiety, bullying, social pressures, family problems, behavior problems, trauma, identity issues, self-harm, suicidal ideation, and poor coping skills are just some of the things I witnessed day to day in the school setting that I feel impede the learning environment and the entire wellbeing of the student. I utilize various models of therapy based on individual client needs. I am also trained in EMDR (Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing).
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate #87951 in the state of Texas and supervised by Laura Wright, Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor #66757.
I reside in the west Fort Worth area with my husband who also has worked in education the past 30 years. Together we have a blended family with 4 children ages 7-18 and 2 dogs to which we lovingly refer to our chaos as “the crew.”
I look forward to meeting you and your families to support your journey towards successful positive change during these formative years, establishing healthy relationships and becoming the best version of yourself you can be!
